Cami Courtright
Cami was born in Sherman Oaks, May 21, 1965. She was active in children's theater in grammar school and was an excellent student. In high school, she was a Morningstar member, a performing group which toured in Romania and Mexico her junior and senior years. She went on a mission in 1987 to Finland for eighteen months. At BYU, she finished her B.A. graduating with university honors. She returned to BYU the following year to work on a master’s degree in sociology with an emphasis in gender studies. She designed and taught an introductory class in the women’s studies minor as well as working on several research projects at the Women’s Research Institute.
Cami now resides in Sebastopol, California, and works as a medical coordinator in a residential program for emotionally disturbed adolescents. She earned a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language and taught an ESL course summer term at Sonoma State in 2011. She loves going to music festivals, especially Celtic and Roma music and has volunteered with an annual Roma festival in Sebastopol.
