Bradley Brown Courtright (aka Luke Kortrijk Rainey)
Luke grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, in Northern California. As a child, he could be found playing with the neighborhood kids, listening to records, exploring, and creating activities with his friends. As he matured, he became interested in live theatre and performing. He went on to earn a BA Degree in Theatre Arts from San Francisco State University.
During his final years of college, he became an avid songwriter and lost interest in Acting. After graduating, he formed a band with close friends, who shared passion for his music that combined Punk Rock with a retro 1980s New Wave style.
While working on band-related projects (creating demo CDs, promotional material and the Band’s website), Luke discovered he had a knack for technology—a gift from his father, Ivan, who always kept up with consumer electronic trends.
Luke returned to school to study Information Technology, while working part-time at a Law Firm in downtown San Francisco. He would remain at the firm for 9 years, working his way up to Information Technology Manager.
During this time, he met his life partner, Bruce. They have just celebrated their 10-year anniversary. Although they met in San Francisco, they moved to Palm Springs in 2005, after many week-end trips to enjoy the warm desert weather. They currently live on a lake and enjoy utilizing their technical skills to create entertaining environments for themselves and friends. Their endeavors include converting the backyard into an outdoor movie theatre.
After moving to Palm Springs, Luke rediscovered his love for performing and became involved in a Regional Theatre, based in Palm Springs. Some of his favorite past roles are “Skimbleshanks” in CATS, “Mr. Snow” in Carousel and “Greg” in A Chorus Line.
