Gary Scott Brown
Scott grew up in Orem, Utah as the second of six children. At an early age Scott had a desire to figure out how life worked. As a young child Scott started tinkering around with tools and taking things apart, leaving a wake of destruction in his path… things had to be understood. This desire to understand how things work led Scott to take classes early in Metal Shop. Teachers helped Scott eventually land a job as a Mechanic.
In late 2001, Scott successfully completed a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving in the Florida Ft. Lauderdale Mission. Soon after, in early 2002, Scott met Shannon after she moved into her aunt’s house across the street from Scott’s parents. After a lot of coaxing from many neighbors and Scott’s then Scout Troop, Scott asked Shannon out on a date. Only a few months later they were married for time and all eternity in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple in American Fork, Utah.
Shannon came into Scott’s life as the second child of twelve. Shannon spent most of her life growing up in Camarillo California. Her dedication to working landed her jobs at an early age in the banking industry. Later this desire for work led her to become an executive officer in many companies and later a partner in a professional business networking company.
After being a professional mechanic for many years Scott and Shannon decided that it was time for Scott to finish his education. With a lot of patience and encouragement, Scott graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Scott had finally found a field that he loves and belongs in. Soon after Scott finished his degree, Shannon left her corporate position to focus fill-time on the job she truly loves, raising her two wonderful children: Ella and Zach.
In 2005 they welcomed their first child, Ella Ann Brown. Ella came into this world beautiful. Ella loves to dance, sing, and befriend everyone she meets. Ella loves her stuffed toys and to play with all around her. Everywhere she goes she meets and makes new friends.
Then just over 2 ½ years later Zachary was born in 2007. Zachary is a true boy. He loves to play outside and feels wronged when he must stay inside during the cold winter months. Zach’s favorite thing to do is ride his bicycle. He rides fast enough to leave his sister in the dust.
Scott and Shannon and their family look forward to the future ahead of them. They are excited to see what is next and new.
